Cost Summary for Lessons at Reed Music Studios
Payments for the lessons:
- There is no set price for lessons because each instructor is independent.
- Teachers have various years of teaching experience and differing musical backgrounds.
- As of 2026, the cost ranges from $100 per month to $120 per month for a weekly, 30-minute lesson.
- Students pay the teacher directly for the lessons.
Studio registration fees:
- The registration fees collected go toward occasional expenses such as studio piano tunings and maintenance, recitals and facility expenditures.
Studio registration fee for NEW students:
- Registration fees are payable to Reed Music Studios and are non-refundable.
- One student: $50.
- Two or more students in the family: $75.
*The fee is cut in half for students that begin February through May. Students that begin in June or July pay the full fee but are covered through August of the following year.
Annual registration fee for CURRENT, continuing students:
- Annual fees are payable to Reed Music Studios and are non-refundable.
- The fee is due August 1st each year.
- One student: $40
- Two students: $65
- Three or more students: $75
*If one student studies with two different instructors, that is counted as two students.
Other occasional expenses:
Music books, instrument supplies, home piano tuning and special event fees.
